YOUNG PIANISTS WORLDWIDE is an association dedicated to promoting piano playing at the highest level. Our primary aim is to support and nurture talented young pianists, as well as organising international music festivals, master classes and music competitions in collaboration with other music promoters throughout the world. We arrange concerts with internationally renowned artists as well as with up-and-coming talents in and outside Austria.

We have cooperated with institutions such as Concours International de Piano d’Orléans/France, the International Russian Piano Competition/USA, the Münchner Klavierpodium/Germany, International Davorin Jenko Piano Competition Belgrade/Serbia and others.

Particularly in our annual, international festival Vienna Young Pianists, young artists are given the opportunity to perform in concert and immerse themselves in intensive study with a set of diverse, internationally renowned teachers. From this year on the event bears the new name Vienna Piano Academy. With the historically significant designation “Academy”, we would like to reveal our educational mission.

Based in Vienna, YOUNG PIANISTS WORLDWIDE was founded in 2011 by the pianist and pedagogue Susanna Spaemann, who directs the organisation. One of the founding members is the Viennese pianist Paul Gulda. Among our honorary members, there are prominent artists such as Paul Badura Skoda, Pierre Reach and others.
